See the list below for ways you can help children, elders, and pets in our community. Also, for a quick reference guide to holiday volunteering, please check out the handy guide created by the Volunteer Center of Lubbock by clicking here.

Paul’s Project Grace Campus: Prepare and Serve a Meal

Serve a meal, offer a friendly smile, a kind word, and encouragement. Meals are served in the barn every evening from around 6:00 – 7:00pm. Sign up online here.

Tova Coffehouse: Foster Care Cards (One Heart Orphan Care)
The month of December

There are 687 Lubbock children currently in foster care. Go by and pick up a card (each card has the name and age of one of these children) and pray for that child in 2020. Use #nocardleftbehind to spread the word.
You can always donate to our partner organizations whenever you come into Tova or when you buy one of the paintings from our Foster Art Wall. But for the month of December, when you buy our seasonal Christmas drink, a dollar will go toward One Heart Orphan Care.
Salvation Army: Red Kettle Ring
Through December 24
Multiple shifts and locations

The Red Kettle Campaign raises funds for the scores of families and children we serve throughout the holiday season and WE NEED YOU to partner with us in making this holiday season the most memorable one ever for those in need. We have over 9,000 hours of volunteer bellringing opportunities starting on November 8 and ending on Christmas Eve. Register online!

Donate needed supplies like toilet paper, laundry detergent, extra large trash bags, cleaning supplies, plastic cutlery, disposable plates & small cups. More info here. Financial support needed as well – donate online or by texting gracecampus to 707070.

Salvation Army: Angel Tree
Various locations, also online

Angel Tree will serve over 1,200 children in the greater Lubbock area this year. Select Angel(s), purchase gifts, attach the Angel Tag and/or code to each Angel’s/Child’s bag and return them to The Salvation Army by the given deadline on each tag.

Cardinal’s: Shoes 4 Kids (benefiting Children’s Home of Lubbock, Buckner Lubbock, Texas Boys Ranch, CASA of the South Plains)

Choose a name and shoe size of a child in need from the tree in store and purchase the shoes at 40% off. The child will receive their gift before Christmas. You can also make a donation online here.

West End: Toys-For-Tots

We are proud to partner with KAMC and Toys-For-Tots this year to help make Christmas brighter for local kids across our community! Look for drop boxes throughout West End to drop off your gifts and toys as you shop and dine!

Kingsgate Center: Christmas Coat Drive (benefiting Lubbock Impact)
Through December 20

Spread the warm this holiday season by donating your gently used coats to barrels located throughout Kingsgate Center. All coats collected will be donated to a community member in need!

Toni&Guy: Holiday Food Drive (benefiting SPFB)

Locations at South Plains Mall and West End

Bring in five cans for 25% off haircuts. Bring in 10 cans for a free haircut with paid color service (color service priced $95 or higher).

Raising Cane’s: Plush Puppy (benefiting South Plains SPCA)
Any Lubbock location

Purchase this year’s Plush Puppy (Jingle Cane) for $8.99 and net proceeds go to the South Plains SPCA.

Helping Paws (benefiting Lubbock Animal Services)
Through December 18
Lubbock Animal Shelter (3323 SE Loop 289), Gebo’s (215 50th), Tractor Supply (4605 I-27), Pets Plus (6419 University)

LAS is accepting donations of food, toys and blankets to help local homeless pet owners. This year, LAS will also be collecting food for the South Plains Food Bank. Donations like dry dog and cat food, beds, blankets, coats, sweaters, treats and toys will be distributed to help feed the homeless and their pets and keep them warm during the holiday season.
