This holiday season, consider giving your time to those in need.

See the list below for ways you can help children, elders, and pets in our community. Also, for a quick reference guide to holiday volunteering, please check out the handy guide created by the Volunteer Center of Lubbock by clicking here.

If you know of an organization who is seeking volunteers or donations, please email us at lubbockintheloop@gmail.com with all of the information. We will get it added to this list!

LMOW Food Box Deliveries
What: Food box delivery
When: December 17
How: Deliver food boxes to client households. Contact Daniel and Barbra at 806.792.7971.

Salvation Army: Red Kettle Campaign
What: Monetary donations
When: Christmas season
How: Donate at any red kettles across town.
All funds stay local and support feeding, shelter and homeless prevention programs 365 days a year.

Keeping Lubbock Warm
What: New hats, gloves and scarves, gently used coats for men, women and children of all ages
When: December 20
How: Drop off donations at either The Home Zone (50th and Indiana) or Super Tech (University, across from Amigos). More info here.

Tree of Warmth
What: Clothing items
When: Through December 21
How: Donate new or used coats, scarves, hats, gloves, socks, or sweaters to St. John’s UMC at 1501 University. Benefits their Benevolence Ministry.

Winter Coat Drive
What: Gently used coats
When: Through December 24 | Kingsgate Center
How: Drop off coats at any of these locations: Drest, B.C. Clothing, Cake, Sprout, Maloufs, Mcalister’s, Burger Fi, Marble Slab, Chipotle. The coats will go to Lubbock Impact.
Deadlines: Donations must be dropped off by December 24.

Toys for Tots
What: New, unwrapped gift items
When: Through December
How: Purchase new, unwrapped gifts and drop-off at any Toys for Tots donation boxes
Deadlines: Campaign runs through December. Drop-off locations are listed here.

South Plains SPCA
What: Dog food, puppy training pads, toys, clothes, kennels, crates, bleach, paper towels, spray bottles, water, dog/cat bowls, treats, general cleaning supplies, monetary donations for vet bills
When: Anytime during the holiday season
How: Pick-up a giving tree ornament on Saturdays at the SPCA at 8901 HWY 87 Unit 119
Deadlines: Drop-off donations on Saturdays or Monday nights at the SPCA, or you can email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com to schedule a time that’s convenient for you.

Lubbock Meals on Wheels
What: Dry dog and cat food
When: Anytime during the holiday season
How: Collect items and drop-off at the LMOW office.
Deadlines: None.
